Peninsula Pilates is a boutique studio located in the heart of Palos Verdes. This community-focused studio offers its clients small classes and private sessions. Studio is available for rent by trained instructors.

Lacey Hall

Why I love Pilates

Pilates is the only exercise that I consistently go back to and see immediate results. My body has changed a lot since I first discovered Pilates 20 years ago and Pilates has been able to remain challenging yet doable. I started with mat pilates in my bedroom and found it challenging but doable.

Now I teach Pilates

Pilates has been a positive part of my fitness journey and I want to share that positivity with all my clients. My teaching style is light-hearted but undeniably challenging. My mission every time is to leave each session feeling accomplished. ; I can’t say that about every workout I have tried.

Alice Huang

Alice brings nearly 15 years of Pilates experience to our studio. Passionate about fitness, Alice loves that Pilates requires intense focus and can take both athletic and therapeutic forms. She understands the importance of moving our bodies every day. In Alice’s free time, she loves hiking, tennis, being in nature, spending time with my family and traveling. Her most memorable adventures include soaking in the Blue Lagoon and getting up close with puffins in Iceland!  

 

Hayley Megee

 

Hayley discovered Mat Pilates 20 years ago. Since then, she practices it nearly every day. Later she was introduced to The Tower, The Chair, The Barrel, The Cadillac, and The Reformer, and was completely addicted. Hayley enjoys that Pilates encompasses movement, meditation, mental health, and community. She aims to create a space where these qualities can flourish and benefit all within our Peninsula Pilates community. Students will find these qualities, plus plenty of humor and heart in class. When Hayley is not in the studio, she is a mom of two and a senior dog. She enjoys hiking, playing with her kiddos, exploring the local scenes, and laughing hysterically. Silly goat videos get her every time!

 

Kandis Wannamaker

 

Kandis began her Pilates journey in the early 90’s. Over the years she has enjoyed many fitness formats alongside Pilates, including Barre, HIIT, TRX and Strength Training. As a Certified Personal Trainer, she has deep knowledge of Anatomy and Functional Fitness. She recognizes the profound healing and restoration that can be accomplished with Pilates practice. Kandis’s passion is to help others move well and is honored to coach and inspire others. Her clients benefit from her many Certifications including Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise, Functional Fitness, Circuit Training, Barre, TRX, and extensive work in Nutritional Coaching. She likes to keep classes fun and engaging so beware if you hear her say “this exercise is so effective” it probably means it’s going to be hard, but you will be happy when you are done!
